Business leader Ibrahim Mahama, Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners and Dzata Cement, has shown generosity to persons with disabilities this Christmas by donating essential food supplies to two organisations working with people with disabilities.
On December 24, 2025, through his company Engineers and Planners Corporate Limited, Mahama presented a range of food items to the Disabled Christian Fellowship International and the Accra Rehabilitation Centre as part of his company’s festive-season humanitarian activities.
The donation included 100 bags of rice, 20 cartons each of corned beef, mackerel, and cooking oil — items intended to provide relief and support for vulnerable members of the disability community during the holiday period.
Receiving the contributions on behalf of the beneficiaries, Francis Adjetey Sowah, Executive Director of Disabled Christian Fellowship International and former President of the Amputee Football Federation of Africa (AFFA), thanked Mr. Mahama for the timely and meaningful support. He noted that many persons with disabilities often face difficulties securing basic food supplies, especially during festive celebrations, and that the gesture would foster a sense of inclusion and dignity.
Sowah described Mahama’s support as inspiring and said it had lifted the spirits of members of the fellowship, many of whom feel overlooked. “This recognition gives us strength, dignity, and a sense of belonging,” he remarked.
Mahama’s Special Aide, Rafik Mahama, presented the items on his behalf and reiterated the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting persons with disabilities. He also revealed that future initiatives are being planned that will focus on capacity building and innovative programmes for disability groups.
